Hemerocallis 'Daria'
Hemerocallis 'Daria' is another of those daylilies that needs to be seen close-up, and you’ll be amazed at what you’re seeing! In midsummer, each large flower, stretching as much as 17cm in diameter, has a base colour of dusky maroon, with a lighter stripe down the centre of the petal. There is also a dramatic ruffled golden edge to each petal of 'Daria', while the centre of the flower (the throat) is a gorgeous golden yellow. It is a beauty!
Even better, Hemerocallis 'Daria' often sends out a second flush of bloom towards the end of the summer. At 55cm or more in height when in bloom, it is suitable for the front of a border, or a patio container. All of this means it is the perfect subject for the smaller spaced gardens, where it appears in complete proportion. First released to the gardening public 13 years ago, Hemerocallis 'Daria' has proved to be a constant winner.
