You'll be wowed by this Dahlia, even from a hundred metres away! Dahlia 'Freya's Paso Doble' is one of the increasingly popular anemone-flowered varieties. In mid- to late summer, its buds open into stunning blooms, comprising wide, outer petals of bright white fading to lemon at the base, and a central boss of rich, golden yellow tubular petals. When fully open, blooms are around 12cm across. They'll make a beautiful display in sunny borders, or deep patio containers. Flowers will keep appearing until the first frosts of autumn. At the peak of its flowering, the recently-introduced Dahlia 'Freya's Paso Doble' will reach 100-120cm in height.
It has been known for anemone-flowered dahlias to fool many into thinking they are looking at a completely different flower. However, the sheer brilliance of the white and yellow colourings of this variety make it stand out from the rest. In fact, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) thinks so highly of Dahlia 'Freya's Paso Doble' that it awarded it the special Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
