Agapanthus 'Blush Pink'
You’ll be matching the rosy blush with the many compliments you’ll receive from admirers of this exquisite new Agapanthus 'Blush Pink', one of the first African lilies with pink flowers, instead of shades of blue or pure white. Multiple umbels of attractive white, trumpet-like flowers, tinged delicately with soft pink on the outer edges of each petal, will rise above its green, strap-like foliage to become a real showstopper on the edge of a sunny border or a centrepiece in a container. The breath-taking pink flowers of Agapanthus 'Blush Pink' will continue to take centre stage from early June til late August once established; enjoy every moment of it!
Thriving in a free-draining soil, in full sun, Agapanthus 'Blush Pink' grows to approximately 80cm high with a spread of 50cm, and, once established is particularly drought tolerant. Pot on initially in a John Innes Number 3 compost or multipurpose compost, keeping well watered before planting out into the garden when a good root system has established. Pink African lilies like to feel like their roots are restricted before they will flower, so the key to getting them to produce blooms sooner is to start them in small pots and gradually pot them up whe they become almost pot bound.
